Sometimes it’s hard to make new friends. Because friendship is based on trust, mutual love and respect, and friendship needs time to grow strong. Even if the two aren’t from the same species, they can still be friends and have a blooming friendship. Sometimes, we as humans can learn so much only by watching those loving animals.
Here we have Bailey, who is a very lovely golden retriever, and Simon, the playful ragdoll. These two are faithful besties and best prove that cats and dogs can still be friends even if they are from a different species, and not enemies like some humans immediately think. I mean, we admit, not every dog likes cats, and not every cat likes dogs, but golden retrievers surely do. They are really the friendliest dogs.
However, their very first meeting wasn’t that great. When the dog’s owner brought Simon to their home, Bailey was so scared that he immediately jumped away from the couch within a second, trying to find a good hiding spot. She’s really such a hilarious girl!

As her owner than called Bailey over, she was a bit nervous and loath. She then got back to the sofa tentatively. After some time, she tried to sneak out of her owner’s arms, to get a distance from that strange creature.
But her owner had another trump card to let Bailey come closer: her favorite treats. When Bailey and Simon started sharing their treats, the two lovely creatures slowly got closer to one another. With time it got obvious that Simon was a playful cat, and he wasn’t at all as frightening as Bailey thought.
Once they got to know each other a little bit, Bailey keenly began to persuade Simon into being best friends with her. Simon couldn’t find a more loving and caring friend than Bailey, therefore he couldn’t be any happier. Bailey is such a gentle, careful and sweet dog, while her cat friend is very playful and fearless. These two friends are totally different, but somehow they complete one another.
