Footage of a cuddly cat being tricked by a decoy version of her owner has left viewers in stitches. The cat’s owner joked she had to “resort to this” to escape constant interruptions
A woman who claims her cat is so clingy she barely gets any time to relax by herself has revealed her inventive solution – and viewers are in stitches.
In a TikTok video, Nicky @cokle_nd asks people if they have cats that are particularly needy and desire attention and cuddles all day long.
She says: “As soon as you sit down they want to sit next to you. They want to touch you in any way shape or form.
“I have, and I’ve had to resort to this.”
Nicky then shows a hilarious decoy of herself she has made out of her pyjamas which are stuffed with cushions and pillows.
She even has an image of her head sticking out of the top of the neck hole and her delighted cat is relaxing on the decoy “lap” which is propped up on her bed.
“This is me in a cushion firm,” jokes Nicky.
She then zooms in on her cat who is happily kneading the decoy’s stuffed legs with her claws
Nicky uploaded the clip on Monday (August 2) with the caption: “Sometimes you have just got to think outside of the box for some peace!”
Since then it has been “liked” more than 10,000 times on the video-sharing app and hundreds of people have left comments.
One user said: “Cat genius. I’m going to try this.”
A second viewer wrote: “That is hilarious and cute. No, it is the opposite in our house they don’t want anything to do with us.”
