This pair of sweet kittens have an unbreakable bond after being rescued together.

A litter of little kittens was given to the Animal Welfare League of Arlington in Virginia, USA to give them a chance for a better life.

The welfare centres Kitten College program worked around the clock to give them the care they needed.

This pair needed a little extra care and attention.

The heart-meltingly cute bundles of fluff couldn’t stop cuddling each other for the first few days, to comfort each other.

You can see just how tiny and fragile they were, and they were battling some health issues too.

The brother, Jace took some time figuring out how to eat from a bottle, while sister Jackie stayed right by his side the whole time.

After round-the-clock care and medicine, the twins started to make progress and gain some weight.

Jace even started to wiggle his little ears when he ate his food which was a great sign and made the hard work worthwhile.

Jackie picked up on her brother’s energy and she too started eating and playing more.

The bond between them got each other through and kept each other’s spirits high.

After a few weeks, the brother and sister came into their own, taking their first steps, using a litter tray and learning how to eat from a dish – all side by side of course!

Although they may look exactly the same, their personalities are distinctively different. Jace is mischievous while Jackie is more mellow. What a perfect pair!

Once the twins grew enough to fly the nest, Lauren needed to find a loving family with and open heart to take them in.

When they were finally ready to fly the nest, they found their forever home with Alexandra and Bryan. The couple was smitten when they saw Jace and Jackie on Instagram and reached out to the rescue centre.

“I will always remember the kittens’ contagious joy for life, their immediate trust towards anyone they ever met, their silly and infectious personalities, and their sweet love for each other,” Lauren wrote. “My part in the twins’ story may be ending but their happily ever after starts now.”

The kittens love their new home!

“Slowly but surely we exposed them to the rest of the house. Within a few hours of coming home, they were bouncing off the walls and full of energy,” Alexandra told Love Meow.

“Around midnight that night, Dad found some cat music engineered to help cats calm down. The next thing we knew, they had jumped into bed with us and snuggled right up to us!”

The dynamic duo has since been renamed Whiskey (brother) and Pippa (sister).

Just like many twins, this brother and sister share an incredible and unique bond. You’ll never find one without the other!

“They play together nonstop. They cry for each other when they lose track of each other,” Alexandra shared with Love Meow.

“They sleep together and eat together. They’ve even used the litter box together side by side. They love their toys, and they love to rough house.”

They really are living their best twin life.

“They love laying in their window hammock during the day watching people walk by with dogs – the birds are especially intriguing. When they aren’t running wild, they’re quick to jump up on our laps and snuggle up to us with the loudest purrs,” Alexandra said.

@whiskeyandpippa

“Their love for each other is truly the sweetest thing. We are so happy we were able to keep them together, and hope others thinking of adoption see their story and consider adopting in pairs.”
